Betwixt Machine

A generative sound machine for iPhone. It composes endless ambient music on the device, in several styles, with weather and city layers, and keeps playing with the screen locked.

What it does

• Makes its own music in real time. Nothing is streamed or looped from a recording.
• Pick a mood, a place and a style, or let the wizard choose for sleep, focus or company.
• Works offline. No account, no ads, no tracking.
• Plays in the background and on the lock screen, with a sleep timer.
• Adjustable text size. English only for now.

Music, weather and more

• Music: styles you can tune by mood, or build your own station with the wizard. A Sound Lab lets you shape every instrument.
• Weather and city: layers you mix under the music, including rain, wind and thunder.
• Share and undo: share a sound as a text code, and undo or redo any change.

Private by design
